My name is Trish. I am an aspiring teacher, artist, writer, citizen of the world! I love to sing, dance, write, read, and create unique works of art. I travel as much as I can, and cook to the best of my ability :)
I hold a certificate of completion in Social Work, an associate's degree in Mental Health, a BA in Social Science, and have completed about half of my coursework toward my MA in Sociology.
In addition, I am certified to teach grades 4-8 and English as a Second Language in the state of Texas.
I have worked with children and families in a variety of capacities over the past 10 years, and I am absolutely PASSIONATE about this line of work! I have been a babysitter, a nanny, a case worker for social services organizations, a volunteer, an aunt and a teacher.
I currently live in the DFW metroplex with my Bulgarian husband, who constantly challenges and inspires me to do great things. We both agree that kids (and adults) should get to be kids! To explore, create, get messy and HAVE FUN!
The purpose of this site is to make the above mentioned things sound less frightening to parents and teachers. I hope you will learn to embrace the indivduality of each of your students/children and use creativity as a learning tool.
